New configurations of the tele-extraction concept

Within cut-to-length forwarding, a theoretical semi-autonomous teleoperation concept called tele-extraction, with automation of crane work and driving, was modeled simulated. Both configurations had greater potential for cost reduction than previously studied alternative where the driving automated, teleoperated. Teledrive teleoperated empty, loaded, between log piles while loading, showed reduced 10% five operators on ten forwarders, whereas teledrive both loading automated 18% at four operators. In configurations, lowest reached about lower productivity compared to standard forwarding. Increased extraction distance negative impact since terminal activities were autonomous.
